Tia Maya’s Flan

Got this recipe from mi amiga Belinda. One of the best flan recipes I've had.

Ingredients
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 oz Cream Cheese
  • 7 Eggs ((4 whole, 3 yolk))
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1 can Evaporated Milk
Instructions
  1. Caramelize the 1 cup of sugar by putting it in pot and stirring continuously
  2. As soon as it all dissolves, quickly pour caramel in glass dish and let it rest to harden (can put in refrigerator)
  3. In a blender, blend the eggs, cream cheese, condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla
  4. Set up a baño maria: bigger glass tray filled with a quarter inch of water and place in oven
  5. Place glass tray of the caramel in baño Maria
  6. Pour the rest of the blended ingredients inside the caramel tray
  7. Bake in oven at 350 degrees for one hour or until the top is splitting a little and is brown
  8. Put in refrigerator for at least four hours
  9. Enjoy!
